Dalhousie Food Services is proud to introduce Fill it Forward, a new initiative that helps our community make a positive impact through simple, everyday actions.
Starting at Frederic's in the IDEA Building, we're rolling out Fill it Forward reusable mugs - and we're excited to be the first Fill it Forward partner in Canada.
Fill it Forward connects the act of reusing to global change. Each mug comes with a special tag that can be scanned every time you refill. With each scan, you help reduce single-use waste and support clean water projects around the world.
How it works
1. Pick up your Fill it Forward mug at Frederic's.
2. Scan the tag on your mug when you purchase your drink.
3. Enjoy your favourite beverage in your reusable mug - take it to class, work, or wherever your day takes you.
4. Drop your mug back when you're nearby or ready for another purchase by scanning the drop station and submitting a quick photo of the product.
5. Grab a fresh, clean mug and repeat the process.
This partnership reflects Dalhousie Food Services' ongoing commitment to sustainability. By encouraging reuse and reducing waste, we're working together to create a more environmentally conscious campus.
